Your role

In your role as junior group controller, you support the FP&A director and team-up with the FP&A team members. You partner with the divisional finance teams.

• Support the month-end closing activities in cooperation with corporate FP&A team, local finance teams, consolidation team and SAP/BW business analysts. Ensure true and fair view.
• Assist in the monthly Corporate reporting submissions for actuals and forecasts, assist in the preparation of the annual budget, interact and cooperate with divisional business controllers
• Support controllers with (monthly) controlling activities: such as but not limited to cost accounting analysis (yearly cost roll, scrap analysis), analysis on Bill of Material, selling cost analysis, analysis of group costs, analysis of Net sales, track progress on saving projects, validation of new business intelligence reports,…
• assist in ad-hoc projects and requests from business leaders and management.
• Collect and analyze business information, prepare profitability & variance analyses,
• Continuously look for process and efficiency improvements with the FP&A domain
  

The role covers all divisions, countries and categories. You deal with a multi-cultural and multi-language environment and you will interact closely with internal stakeholders like divisional business controllers. Goal is to have a deep understanding of the business and to familiarise yourself with wide variety of (finance) tasks. This broad experience will support you in next career steps.

Your profile

• Master in business economics or equivalent
• Recently graduated or initial work experience (1 to 3 years relevant work experience)
• Hands-on and pragmatic
• Result oriented, can do attitude
• Takes ownership by always delivering what is promised on time and to the quality standards agreed
• Analytical thinking: breaks complex problems (or processes or projects) into component parts and considers or organizes parts in a systematic way
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Fluent in English, the knowledge of any other language is an important asset
• Eager to work in an international and multi-cultural environment
• IT-literate
• Strong excel skills
